The Community phase of Narrow Gate Lodge focuses on you discovering how to live with your new identity in Christ within a group of like-minded individuals.

Once you've graduated the Foundation phase, you'll pack up your tent and outdoor gear and trade them in for a spot in the Community Barn. Here you'll live for the next 4 months, continuing to learn the tools you need to succeed in your new life as a disciple in Christ.

These four months are key to you unpacking the Scriptures in a brand new way. We teach the Bible in context which means not only reading through the books of the Bible but also understanding the culture and times when the books were actually written. Take a look at our curriculum list to get a better idea of what you'll be learning while in Community.

Aside from curriculum you'll also get a chance to learn how to work with your hands in our professional grade woodshop and metal shop. Each student while in Community will have the opportunity to learn wood turning and flat work from world class teachers as well as basic metal working skills. We view this as an opportunity for you to get creative and work with your hands at the same time!

Each Community student is given an area of responsibility to assist in maintaining our property and to possibly learn a new skill or trade. Areas of responsibility include maintenance, landscaping, wood shop, metal shop and hospitality services.

Community is designed for you to practice living your identity in a group of like-minded individuals.
